Written by Chris on June 6th, 2008 | 0 CommentsJust a few outs after Covelli Crisp instigated the thirty-ninth chapter in The Red Sox and Rays: The Feud Not Too Many People Understand, Sox left-fielder Manny Ramirez and first baseman Kevin Youkilis either yelled at each other or nearly came to blows, depending on which version of the story you hear. Anyone that has any actual first-hand knowledge of the situation isn’t talking much about it, but here are some possible reasons for the angst between these two training buddies. Should Joe Have Pitched to Manny?

With two outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Manny Ramirez is up to face Mike Mussina. Joe Girardi comes to the mound to have a discussion with his starter and decides to leave him in to face Manny and hopefully get the last out of the inning.
