Fantasy Baseball Excitement and Disappointment

For all of us that are in head to head fantasy leagues, you are either starting your playoffs or are already into them or maybe even eliminated. I worked real hard to get into the playoffs in both leagues that I am in. I checked it religiously and made diligent moves and acquisitions. I thought I was in good shape.

The Dog Days of Summer

In the sport that claims the to be the home of the “boys of summer”, the boys are playing and winning while the dogs are becoming what they really are. The Texas Rangers have officially become the Texas Rangers again. No pitching to be found, players are becoming disabled faster than in Iraq, and the bats are silent. I know that this is my home team and that is the team I follow closest, for the others how about the Yankees treading water, the Phillies hanging on, the Brewers, the Cards, the Astros (maybe), the D-backs and Dodgers.

Tough Road Ahead For Girardi

I don’t envy Joe Girardi. He’s in a tough spot - one of the most closely scrutinized manager positions in all of baseball. He’s been given a team with a huge payroll and huge expectations to win.
